Being one of Ireland's foremost violinmakers, Peter Boardman has been making instruments for musicians internationally since 1979. All of Peter's instruments are hand crafted in the Cremonese tradition, using wood sourced by Peter himself. He is self taught and has honed his skills during a career spanning four decades.
We set up, repair and restore string instruments for both traditional and classical players, and also offer impartial advice to prospective buyers from beginner through to seasoned professional.
We offer a valuation service internationally recognised and accepted by insurers.
Peter's son Rory, a classically trained violinist, has been training in the workshop to carry on the family tradition since 2018. His instruments are available to purchase in shops across the UK.
Opening hours
The workshop is usually open weekdays between 09:00 - 17:00. Please call +442891883474 to make an appointment before you visit.
