Viola by Rory Boardman, Donaghadee 2022
This instrument is based on the work of G.B.Guadagnini. It has a one-piece back of heavily flamed maple. The front is two pieces of medium grain spruce. The varnish is red-brown in colour and the instrument is not antiqued.
This viola measures 15 7/8" (40.3 cm) in length.
A very manageable size to play, it has a deep resonance whilst remaining bright and open.
